That evening, the small bar was almost full. Regular customers sat at the tables. Some were watching a sports game on television, some were talking loudly, and others were simply relaxing after work.

At the counter in the far corner sat an elderly man in an old military uniform. A glass of drink stood in front of him. He wasn’t talking to anyone and simply stared ahead, as if lost in thought.

Most of the customers paid no attention to him.

But one man noticed the veteran immediately.

Tall, heavily built, and already very drunk, he was noisily wandering around the bar, bothering everyone he came across. At one point, his eyes landed on the old soldier.
