The $110 Lesson: Grandpa’s Playful Twist

“Mind if I try one?” he asked casually.

His son raised an eyebrow. “Dad, I don’t think that’s a good idea. They’re strong… and expensive.”

“How much are they?” Grandpa inquired.

“Ten dollars a pill,” came the warning reply.

“That’s fine,” Grandpa said, unbothered. “I’ll try one. I’ll leave the money under the pillow before we head out in the morning.”

The next day, the son lifted the pillow—and his jaw dropped. Underneath lay $110 neatly tucked in place. He quickly called Grandpa, incredulous:

“Dad! I said ten dollars a pill, not a hundred and ten!”

Grandpa’s laughter crackled through the phone. “I know. The extra hundred is from Grandma!”

Conclusion

Even the simplest visits can become unforgettable when a little humor is involved. Grandpa’s playful twist wasn’t just about money—it was a lesson in joy, generosity, and laughter.

What could have been a routine night became a story to be retold for years, reminding everyone that mischief and kindness can coexist beautifully.
