My dad was bragging about paying for my college when he didn’t give a cent, so I gave him a reality check.
My dad always searched my stuff “to see what I’m hiding,” and grounded me, etc. To pay for my college, he wanted to pre-approve all classes and have weekly meetings about grades. I took on debt – there was no way he’d control me for four more years. I’m in my last year, and recently we had a family dinner. Uncle: So how much did her college cost you? Dad: Oh, I spent a fortune! But you know, all for the kids! I was BOILING inside, but kept my cool. Oh, I had a plan. My graduation day. The whole family’s there. I’m up on stage, and start my speech: “I want to thank
