“The operator of the 2023 Cadillac XT6 remained on scene and was not injured as a result of the collision. There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad.”

Wenne Alton Davis’ manager, Jamie Harris, told The New York Times that the actress moved to New York in her 20s to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. She later transitioned to acting and worked at JFK International Airport to support herself.

“I can only describe Wenne Davis as a bright light,” Davis’ agent Jamie Harris said in a statement. “She had a huge love for New York, for acting, for her colleagues at JFK, and, most of all, her family and her circle of friends (which was also huge). She was someone for whom friendliness and kindness were not what she did but more who she was as a person.”

Wenne Davis starred in a 2023 episode of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and also appeared in television series Blindspot, New Amsterdam, and the film The Normal Heart.

Rest in peace, Wenne Alton Davis.
