Thirteen years ago, a photo captured a moment that would forever change my life. In it, my daughter Sophia, just a baby, is cradled in my arms.

Now, at 15, she’s blossoming into a young woman. The joy of her birth, however, was overshadowed by the heartbreaking loss of her mother, my beloved wife, who passed away during childbirth.

From that day on, I took on the role of both father and mother.
