Donald Trump gives answer to whether son Barron could become president of the US

Coupled with his rumored connections to the infamous Epstein files—still unreleased—some analysts speculate that Trump may struggle

even to complete a second term, let alone lay the foundation for a Republican dynasty that could extend well beyond his presidency, which is set to conclude in January 2029.

Despite these uncertainties, Trump appears confident that the political machine he set in motion will continue to dominate. Some even suggest that the person steering this machine in the future may bear his own name.

For years, speculation has swirled about whether one of Trump’s children might take up the political mantle when he eventually steps aside. Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump were both heavily involved in their father’s first term in office, though neither has shown a strong personal ambition to forge their own political path—at least publicly.

Then there’s Barron Trump, the youngest of the Trump children. While he is significantly younger than his siblings, many of his formative years have unfolded alongside his father’s political maneuvers. By some accounts, Barron may be the child most groomed to carry the Trump brand into future political battles.

During a recent interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, in which they toured the White House together, Trump was asked which of his children might follow in his political footsteps.

In response, he praised all five of his children as intelligent, successful, and patriotic.

“Tiffany is very smart,” Trump said. “She was always a great student. They’re all great students, actually. And I think Barron’s going to be, uh, tremendous at that. He’s very meticulous.”

Ingraham pressed further, referencing speculation that Barron could one day become president.

“A lot of people think [Barron] could be the next Trump president,” she said.

“I don’t know. I think—” Trump began, only to be cut off as Ingraham suggested one of his older children might also be a strong candidate.

“In a certain way, they all could,” Trump replied.

At just 19 years old, Barron still has a long path ahead before he would even be eligible to run for president. Currently a student at New York University’s Stern School of Business, he has not publicly expressed any concrete political ambitions. Much about his personal interests, aspirations, and future plans remains tightly guarded.

That said, both Donald and Melania Trump have praised the small but meaningful role Barron played in supporting his father’s 2024 campaign.

Melania told Fox News: “He’s a grown young man. I’m very proud of him—about his knowledge, even about politics, and giving advice to his father. He brought in so many young people.

“He knows his generation, because nowadays young people don’t sit in front of the TV anymore. They’re all on tablets, on phones, and listening to podcasts and streaming.”

She added: “He was very vocal and offered advice to his father. It was incredible how successful he was in bringing in the right people, because he knew exactly who his father needed to reach and speak to.”
