When Fear Took Over Our Home, the Truth Brought Us Back to Reality

I gave birth five weeks ago to a beautiful baby girl with blonde hair and bright blue eyes—traits that neither my husband nor I have, since we both have brown hair and brown eyes. Instead of celebrating her arrival, my husband immediately spiraled into panic. The moment he saw her, confusion washed over him, quickly turning into fear, suspicion, and anger. He kept repeating that something didn’t “add up.” Before I could even fully recover from giving birth, he insisted that we needed a paternity test.
