In 2016, neuroscientist and mother of two, Dr. Anna Stone,
was declared clinically dead for six minutes after a sudden medical emergency caused her to lose consciousness.
At the time, her life was unraveling—she struggled with addiction, trauma, and mental health challenges,
despite working high-level science contracts, including with the U.S. Department of Defense.
During those six minutes, Stone claims she had a vivid out-of-body experience.
She says she watched doctors attempt to resuscitate her,
floated to her daughter’s college classroom miles away, and saw her younger child in a hospital waiting room—
details later confirmed. She then described entering a glowing,
peaceful realm and meeting a radiant version of herself. Before this,
Stone lived strictly by science and dismissed anything spiritual.
But the experience shattered her black-and-white worldview.
Upon waking,
she confronted a doctor about calling her a “junkie”
during resuscitation—something he admitted, despite her being clinically dead at the time.
After her near-death experience, Stone turned her life around.
She completed her education, overcame addiction, and now dedicates her life to helping trauma survivors.
Her story is one of redemption
, transformation, and a new understanding of life and the afterlife.
