A Potential Government Shutdown Looms Over Key Bill Decision
Government Faces Possible Shutdown as Funding Deadline Approaches”
As a key funding deadline approaches, former President Donald Trump
has cautioned that a government shutdown could
occur if a temporary spending bill is not passed this week.
The warning comes after House Speaker Mike
Johnson introduced a short-term funding measure
in December to keep government operations running.
This bill, known as a Continuing Resolution (CR),
provided funding until March 14.
However, without a new agreement in place before that date
, many federal workers could face temporary work stoppages and missed paychecks.
Lawmakers are now working to pass another resolution
to ensure continued funding and prevent disruptions to government services.
A vote on the matter is scheduled to take place on March 11.
