Teenage girl dies of cancer, when her mom looks at her coffin, her heart is filled with warmth

Laura Hillier, a young woman from Ontario, Canada, was diagnosed with leukemia at just thirteen years old.

After undergoing rigorous treatments, she was declared cancer-free, bringing hope and joy to her and her family.

However, that happiness was tragically short-lived when the disease returned four years later.

On January 20, 2016, Laura lost her battle with cancer, leaving behind a community devastated by her passing.

The news was shared by her family on a Facebook page dedicated to Laura’s journey, where they had chronicled her struggles and progress throughout her illness.

In their heartbreaking post, they wrote, “She fought bravely, and all of you would have been so proud of her.

Her poise, courage, strength, and pure spirit shone through until the very end.”

Laura, a student at Nelson High School, had touched the lives of everyone she met. Her kindness and warmth resonated deeply with friends, teachers, and family.

Now, it was her friends’ turn to show their love and appreciation for the incredible person she was.

At her funeral, Laura’s casket was adorned with heartfelt messages from those who had known her.

Her classmates, teachers, family, neighbors, and even the hospital staff wrote tributes to her, each note filled with love, gratitude, and sorrow.

They wished for her to receive a farewell worthy of a beloved friend and cherished student.

The tributes left on Laura’s casket reflected the deep impact she had on those around her. One note read, “You were musical. You were artistic.

You were understanding. You were my bestest friend.” Another said, “Very brave and strong. You will always be a hero.”

As a final tribute, Laura’s favorite color, purple, was prominently displayed at the church and worn by many who attended to honor her memory.

Although Laura is no longer with us, the outpouring of love and support from her community was a powerful reminder of the beautiful soul she was.

May she rest in peace, forever remembered by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Please share this story with your loved ones to keep Laura’s memory alive.
