As she faced the prospect of losing her Los Angeles home to the raging wildfires in the
Pacific Palisades, Jamie Lee Curtis posted a heartfelt and emotional message on Instagram.
The Halloween actress, who is well-known for her iconic roles, shared a heartfelt message along with a powerful picture of a burning house.
She disclosed that although her family had left the area, they were still unsure of what would happen to their house.
She wrote, “My community, and possibly my home, is on fire,” expressing her distress at the destruction.
“My family is safe, but a lot of my friends and countless others in the surrounding communities are probably going to lose their homes.”
She wrote, “It is a terrifying situation,” and thanked the courageous firefighters and kind neighbors who are putting in endless effort to save lives and property.
“I’m appreciative of the firefighters and all the kindhearted people who helped people avoid the flames.” Neighbors have looked out for one another.
Because we are all living our lives, we all take things for granted, but it is especially shocking when it affects your community.
“Life on the terms of life,” she remarked.
She went on to say, “If there was ever a need for the phrase ‘MY HAND IN YOURS,’ it is right now,” in a heartfelt appeal for unity.
Look out for one another. Let the firefighters do their job and stay out of the way. Even if you don’t believe in it, offer up prayers for those who do.
Numerous well-known locals have been impacted by the devastation caused by the wildfires.
On Tuesday, Ben Affleck, who owns a house close to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, was spotted leaving the neighborhood.
Mandy Moore acknowledged that she had to leave, and Steve Guttenberg and James Woods disclosed that their properties had been damaged.
