This morning I noticed something strange under the car that was moving: I was terrified when I realized what it was

This morning, as usual, I was preparing for work. Everything went according to routine: a quick breakfast, bag over my shoulder, keys in hand.

As I left the house and hurried toward the car — my mind occupied with appointments and plans for the day — something strange caught my eye just a few steps away.

A dark shadow moved under the car. I froze. At first, I thought I was imagining things — maybe a bag blown there by the wind. But as I took another step, my heart began to race: it was something else.

My survival instinct kicked in immediately. I stopped and didn’t dare go closer.

A thousand thoughts rushed through my mind — an old rag, a discarded doll, maybe a cat hiding under there. But the longer I looked, the stronger my unease grew.

I bent down slowly to see better, and the next second I screamed so loudly the echo rang out across the yard. Under my car lay a real crocodile.

Alive, very real, not very big, but big enough to freeze the blood in my veins. Its eyes glistened, its tail twitched, and the sight sent me into a state of panic.

My hands were shaking as I quickly dialed the emergency number. I could hardly explain what I was seeing. The dispatcher asked me several times if I was joking.

But no, it was neither a dream nor my imagination — there really was a crocodile hiding under my car.

A few minutes later, specialists arrived in the yard. They acted calmly and confidently, as if this was just a routine job for them.

Later I found out that the reptile had escaped from a nearby veterinary clinic. It belonged to an eccentric man who kept it at home as an exotic pet, fed it meat, and even took it for vaccinations.

Fortunately, the animal was well-fed and showed no aggression, so nothing happened to me.

But the shock left its mark: now, every time I approach my car, I instinctively look underneath and pause for a second, afraid I might find something unexpected there again.
