3 Baffling Life-Stories about Women Finding out Their Husbands and Dad Have Second Families

These three women opened up about how they shockingly discovered their husbands and fathers were leading double lives.

The wives found a way to get their sweet revenge, while the children were left dealing with a new reality.

One can only imagine the shock of discovering that your husband or father, someone you thought knew in detail can manage to keep a big secret from you.

The following stories reveal how people found out their husbands and dads had second families.

The first story starts off with a Reddit user who noticed her husband in another woman’s video while scrolling through social media.

She had been sitting with the news not knowing what steps to take so she posted on Reddit asking for advice.

A week before the Reddit, the woman was scrolling through TikTok when she found an account of a woman sharing recipes.

As she watched, she noticed that the man in the background of the videos looked very much like her husband.

At first, the wife noticed the man’s back and said she recognized every inch of her husband, so she knew it was him immediately.

Then she went through many other videos on the page to confirm it was him and was shocked at the double life he was living.

At home, the wife observed her husband acting normally but found that he had become an expert at hiding his mistress from her.

She also realized that each time her husband went on a work trip, the other woman would post a TikTok video saying she was trying a new recipe because her man was coming home from a work trip.

As the wife watched the other woman’s videos dishing up food for her husband, she recognized his hands and the “peculiar” way he held his cutlery. She couldn’t believe her husband had kept the charade up for three years.

Before discovering the affair, the wife and her husband had an excellent relationship. They had been married for over two decades and had a healthy physical relationship. They share two children and overcame the death of their son ten years earlier, which the woman felt brought them closer.

“I don’t know how he found the time to start an entire relationship on the side. I thought we were happy,” the wife wrote, reflecting on her relationship with her husband of 21 years,

Although she sought advice from others on social media, she said she was spaced out. She had nearly burned her kitchen because she forgot she was cooking as she thought about the situation and how her husband had kept a “second family” from her.

The wife received many responses to her post, some with advice and others commiserating with her. Later, she updated all those who were interested in her dilemma on what she decided to do.

First, she hired a divorce lawyer who advised her not to tell her husband that she knew about his infidelity first. When it was okay to tell him, she confronted her husband, who denied everything, even after she had shown him the social media posts and pictures taken by an investigator. He even accused the woman of being insane.

But after many hours of showing her husband the evidence she had gathered, he finally confessed to everything. He begged for her forgiveness, but she was unwilling to forgive him. Instead, she went to meet her husband’s mistress.

When she arrived at his mistress’ home, the woman told her that her husband loved her and had paid for almost everything she had. With this, the wife found an upper hand. She knew she was entitled to half of everything her husband owned, including everything he bought for his mistress.

With this newfound knowledge, the wife knew she could get her revenge. “Now I know for certain that [neither] he nor she deserve an ounce of my sympathy, and I will take back everything he ever gave her and much more!” she vowed.

The Facebook Post

A mother of three was distraught to find that her husband of 25 years had been unfaithful to her for 17 of those years. The Reddit user and her husband shared three children, all almost grown.

The original poster (OP) was creating a new Facebook profile one day when she found out that her husband had been cheating on her and had a fiancée and two children in another state where he lived for a week at a time.

The woman’s husband was an insurance broker and had different branches in many places. One of his branches was in Albuquerque, and he spent a week there and a week with his wife and their children. However, the wife found out that his work was only one of many things in Albuquerque for her husband.

Not only did the wife find out that her husband had been cheating on her for seventeen years, but he also had two teenage children and he was engaged to the other woman. He would spend a week there and a week with his wife and their children.

While scrolling through the second Facebook page, she found her husband using a different surname and photos of him kissing the other woman and acting fatherly to the children.

The wife also found the Facebook pages of her husband’s fiancée and their children, where she saw further evidence that he had been unfaithful for almost two decades.

“I am absolutely broken. Almost every part of me wants to scream in his face and reprimand him for ruining my life. But another part of me wants to pretend to be ignorant and let it be,” the wife admitted:

The woman thought about not confronting her husband because they had been living an otherwise peaceful life, and she knew if she confronted him, she would be changing her life and the other woman’s life forever. She didn’t know what to do about the situation. Her youngest child was on a graduation trip, and she was alone until her husband returned home from being with his other family.

The woman hoped that her husband would return home and tell her it was a misunderstanding, but she knew that was unlikely. She thought about packing a bag and leaving their home, leaving him only a letter so she could hurt him the way he had.

After turning to Reddit for advice, many people advised the woman to find an attorney before telling her husband she knew. She updated her post, saying she had done so and that the lawyer had advised her on how to handle the situation.

He told her to gather as much evidence as possible so that in the event that she decided to begin divorce proceedings, she would have everything she needed to prove that her husband had been unfaithful.

The woman also made contact with her husband’s fiancée and told her everything. However, unlike her, her husband’s fiancée was financially independent and could make a clean cut from the man who had been lying to them both. The wife also shared“My husband is aware of the fact I know and is currently staying in a hotel, but he is unaware the other woman knows.”

The woman had confronted her husband when he returned from being with his other family. He cried and pleaded with her, but she only saw him as pathetic. Although he moved out, he kept on phoning her to check on her.

The wife had not told her children what was going on. She led them to believe he was spending more time away because of a problem at work. She didn’t know how to tell them about their other siblings too.

Later, she posted another update, in which she said she had already told her children about their father’s other family. In fact, the siblings had all come together to spend Christmas with one another. Although it was initially awkward for the wife, she and her husband’s other family got along fine.

She also confirmed that she had divorced her husband, as some people worried she might not. She also cut contact with him and only spoke to him through lawyers if she had to. She thought her children might have cut contact with their father but admitted that she wasn’t sure and hadn’t asked them to, as it was not her place.

After updating everyone on the situation, the woman said it would be her last update, and she would log off Reddit and continue living her life. She also thanked everyone for their love and support through the difficult time.

The Friend Who Turned Out to be a Sibling

A Reddit user has taken to the platform to share a jaw-dropping story. She has decided to use a throwaway account because her family follows her actual account. She was a 19-year-old who grew up on the East Coast of Australia. However, after enrolling at a university, uprooted to the other side of the country.

She wanted to use the chapter in her life as an opportunity to put herself out there and make friends.. “I’m usually a fairly quiet and shy person, so I saw this as a good way to try and push myself to be a bit more outgoing. It’s taken me a bit, but I’ve made myself some great friends here,” the social media user wrote.

Many of the people she met were international students from Malaysia and Singapore. So everyone shared a lot about their background. But while discussing their family backgrounds, one guy among the group, born and bred in the city where they are attending university together, mentioned his father’s very unusual name. The Reddit user candidly expressed that she found it very interesting that her new friend’s father had the same unusual name as her father back home.

The curious lady further explained their ethnicity and how much Australian blood they had that ran down their veins, dating back to their families’ history, “We’re both as close to 100% Australia as you can get (our families have been here for many generations).”

Once the woman and her guy friend discovered that their fathers shared the same unusual name, they both dug deeper into the subject to learn more about their loved ones. They were more curious to learn about their eerily similar backgrounds, but they were not ready for what they would uncover in their quest to know each other better.

The two university students decided to pull up pictures of their respective families. “And to our shock, they were the same person,” the woman revealed. She explained that both photos they had shown each other showed the same man but with “different woman/wife/mother and different kids!”

“We were both speechless,” she said of their reaction to the revelation, adding, “I didn’t know how to process what we found out.” The individual begged for advice on the platform.

In the comments section, another Reddit user sympathized with her and asked whether her father had shown disapproval of her attending university in that particular town. Or if he tried to convince her to go somewhere else.

The user also asked what the guy friend has heard about their father, such as him not being around as much, adding that the dad needed to tell the truth while warning things would get “messy.”
